A healthy smile requires both consistent at-home hygiene practices and routine attention from a qualified professional. Even the most diligent flossing and brushing can’t fully prevent the buildup of plaque that a professional teeth cleaning is necessary to remove.
Dr. Albert Chow, DDS, has been providing excellent, holistic dental care since he first opened his practice in 1999, and has the distinct honor of having been listed in Los Angeles Magazine as the dentist that other Southern California dentists are most likely to go to for their own care. At ModelSmile Dentistry, we offer a wide range of general dental procedures, cosmetic solutions, and treatment options for a wide array of oral health concerns.
Our state-of-the-art care takes place in a warm, inviting setting, where your comfort is our priority.
We recognize how valuable your time is, so when you show up for your appointment, you won’t be kept waiting – a hygienist will start working with you immediately to keep everything running smoothly and on time.
More Than Just Teeth: Overall Health
Many dentists focus only on the teeth and mouth, and are content with simply treating the presenting problem that brings a patient into the office. Dr. Chow, however, believes in taking a holistic approach to dentistry: he recognizes that oral health and health of the entire body are closely related, and takes this into account in his assessment of both the condition and the available treatment options. Cancer patients, for example, often find their oral health compromised by treatment; conversely, existing oral conditions can also undermine the efficacy of some cancer treatments.
In the interest of promoting overall health and wellbeing, we are proud to operate a mercury-free dental practice and use digital x-rays, rather than traditional x-rays that emit far greater amounts of harmful radiation. Dr. Albert Chow is also meticulous in his adherence to strict protocol for removing and disposing of old amalgam fillings, which contain mercury and can cause various health problems if left in the mouth and/or disposed of improperly.
