At ModelSmile Dentistry, our team seeks to create a warm, inviting atmosphere where questions are welcomed, and the underlying causes of any problems are explored and addressed. When you’re well-informed, you’re able to make the choices that are best for your personal circumstances and preferences, so we want to equip you with the information you need. Dr. Albert Chow has been in practice since 1999, and has a reputation for both excellent dental care and exceptional bedside manner. Many of the Simi Valley residents who come to our office have been using us as their primary dental care provider for years, and we consider them members of our family.

The Intersection Of Dental Health And Overall Wellness

Dentistry has its focus, of course, on the teeth and other structures of the mouth, but it shouldn’t stop there – oral health is closely connected with the health of the entire body, and Dr. Chow takes this into account with his holistic approach to dental practice. At ModelSmile dentistry, we aren’t just interested in your teeth; we’re interested in you as an entire person, and we care about the impact that your oral health has on your overall lifestyle and wellbeing. That’s why we strive to use digital x-rays, rather than traditional x-rays, to limit the amount of radiation our patients are exposed to in our office.

We are also proud to provide a mercury-free practice: many patients don’t realize that the silver-colored amalgam fillings used by most dentists actually contain mercury, which can then be released into the body over time, causing negative health repercussions. Not only does Dr. Chow use only mercury-free fillings, he also follows the stringent guidelines necessary to protect the patient when removing and replacing old fillings that do contain mercury, something that not all dentists know how to do.

Holistic Simi Valley Dentistry

Located just 30 miles from Downtown Los Angeles, Simi Valley is situated in the southeast portion of Ventura County. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains, and the name is derived from the Native American word “shimiyi”, which refers to the thin, wispy clouds so characteristic of mountainous regions along the Pacific coast.

Simi Valley is home to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, and has a vibrant political life, having played host to multiple debates in various presidential primary election cycles.

Simi Valley residents are active, involved, and have been ranked among the happiest people in the United States; at ModelSmile Dentistry, we are proud to be entrusted with taking care of their smiles. For teeth straightening, veneers, whitening treatments, or even just a routine cleaning, our team is here to help. We also gladly meet the special needs of cancer patients, TMJ and sleep apnea sufferers, those with extreme anxiety around dental treatment, and many other individuals with special circumstances.
